Best Coast released a video for "The Only Place" a few days back and, naturally, they killed it. (They better start selling the jackets they wear in the video online.) But even more importantly they just reinstated my burning desire to be in a girl/boy duo. You know the one where there is a kick-ass female singer and a male ripping up the track? If my writing skills, vocals and confidence ever pick up, that is what I will do in life. Just think about it there is The Kills, Beach House, Sleigh Bells, Beast Coast, Cults, Tennis, The Blow, Xiu Xiu, She & Him, The Knife, and probably hundreds more. Of course there is the White Stripes, but I'm bringing out the feminist in me and preaching about the ladies that are the Jack Whites of the show. These ladies define cool in my book and the guys are rad too, don't get me wrong.
