I miss living in Brooklyn. I miss waking up and getting ready as fast as I can to go down to Iris Cafe to get coffee and avocado toast, saying 'good morning' to the waterfront then just walking where ever I wanted to. I miss those walks, especially the ones I had during my last week there when I met a very cool stranger.
I walked to Prospect Park and stayed there for hours until the sun went down then walked all the way home. I had ice cream in hand and even met an adorable boy who was just walking aimlessly, as well, and happened to help me pick out the most perfect bouquet of flowers (that look identical to the picture above) to put in a wine bottle I had kept. He picked out all kinds of flowers, almost as if he had done it before, and it was a darling thing to look at. He was one of the sweetest strangers I have ever met and not until today had I really looked back on him. I wish I had invited him back to put the flowers in the bottle and a glass of lemonade.
Oh, that cute Brooklyn boy that helped me pick out flowers, it was so nice to meet you.
Song of that day:
